In this witty comedy, “The Wings” is a quaint charity home for aged actresses retired from the British stage. Jealousy abounds among the former stars, and sets the stage for a wealth of sophisticated wit and a collection of tangled subplots. While some of the home’s inhabitants idle away with needlepoint and chatter, a feud between two rival Grande Dames fills the home with classic banter and one-liners that are a signature of Coward’s style.
