Ray, the owner of radio station WOMG, has big problems. His station needs money, a local camp for the deaf needs his help protecting it from a big corporate developer and, in the wake of the break-up of his twenty-five year marriage, Ray needs a date – badly! This hilarious comedy set in a small New England town is about balance: the balance between the need for love and likelihood of rejection; preserving nature’s beauty and economic realities; and the struggle of facing life’s troubles and not taking them too seriously. Filled with well-crafted and wonderful characters, Big Tree Falls is quirky, lighthearted, and promises to be an evening of fun and laughter.
Providence Players of Fairfax is proud and honored to produce this world premiere of Big Tree Falls, written by local playwright and Providence Players’ member, Bill VanderClute.
